Testimonials

Jean has performed at our Senior Adult Day program for over 12 years.  She is
energetic and is always prepared with a theme or music game appropriate for the season.
Jean is able to move among our clients with her guitar to interact with them and to
encourage them to participate-making sure everyone is included.  She plays songs the
clients love and will take requests, so they can hear an old favorite.  All of our clients enjoy
having Jean come to our facility!

"Rakhma is blessed to have the talent and expertise of Jean Ann for our music therapy program. Having served Rakhma for more than 20 years, Jean Ann comes well prepared each week with a lively music program! She uses a variety of instruments, songs, and fun facts to entertain and engage all of our residents, and to spread her infectious joy! Our residents, and staff, enjoy her visits immensely. I highly recommend Jean Ann as a music therapist. She brings tremendous energy, enthusiasm and excellence to all she does."

Involved!

posted Feb 12, 2011, 9:17 AM by Jean Kretzschmar

"Involved! I love to see how Mrs. Jean involves all of the children with the music program. Their eyes light up when we put our name tags on for music class. Each child learns respect for instruments and a great appreciation for many types of music, while also working on listening skills and teamwork. It's a great resource to have songs to sing with your class all year long!"

Mrs. Jean's music class is a favorite of the children

posted Feb 12, 2011, 9:15 AM by Jean Kretzschmar

"Mrs. Jean's music class is a favorite of the children. They look forward to her coming and to what she will bring with her. Her guitar, clarinet, tambourines and scarves, are just some of the fun things that accompany her. Not only are the children learning fun songs, they are also learning about types of music, different instruments, and much more! Mrs. Jean makes learning fun. The teachers look forward to music class as much as the children do. We really appreciate the Holiday concert she helps us put on for the parents, and it's a great chance to showcase what they've learned. Mrs. Jean has taught music at my centers, for over 5 years. We couldn't imagine not having Mrs. Jean and her music class!"

enhancing our center's program and curriculum for years. Not only do the
children look forward to and learn in her class (anything from 'Stranger
Danger' to taking turns) the teachers and parents love it, too."

Mrs. Jean teaches a weekly music program...

posted Oct 14, 2009, 11:51 PM by Jean Kretzschmar   [ updated Feb 7, 2011, 7:33 PM ]

“Mrs. Jean teaches a weekly music program to our toddlers and preschoolers. Jean’s hands-on approach to music exposes our children to guitar-playing, props, new songs and old favorites. It is refreshing to hear the children actually ‘singing’ old favorites such as ‘I’ve Been Working on the Railroad.' Our children enjoy music class and look forward to seeing Mrs. Jean each week.”
